Wellness Veteran Logo
This objective of this project was to create a logo that would be used as an instagram profile picture for an account called the Wellness Veteran. The client’s vision for this Instagram account was to create content dedicated to supporting mental health within the veteran community and assisting veterans in achieving their full potential in the civilian world.

Mockups | Round 1
My initial thought when creating this logo was to combine the “W” and “V” in Wellness Veteran. I also explored overlaying the letters with a silhouette of a soldier. The idea behind this was to symbolize the sacrifice of veterans and military men & women saluting them for their service. To reflect the military theme, I chose to use classic shades of military green for the color palette.
The client liked the direction in which these designs were heading, but was unsure about incorporating the silhouette of the saluting soldier. In the next round, they requested mockups without the soldier silhouette and wanted to see how a color palette of desert tan and black would look instead of the military greens.

I implemented the client’s requested edits for the second round of mockups. Since we took out the soldier silhouette, I felt that the design needed another element. Therefore, I added more options with 2 different textures.
The client loved the new color palette but was not a fan of the textured logos. The final logo chosen was row 1, #4.
