Project Purple
Wing Backdrop
This project truly challenged my creativity and efficiency. The objective was to create an “angel wing” backdrop for people to pose in front of at various conventions and events attended/hosted by Project Purple. With limited time available, I had less than a day to conceptualize and properly size the design.
I began by sketching 2 or 3 rough ideas before proceeding to illustrate the wings using Adobe Illustrator. The most challenging aspect of this project was estimating the correct size, because there was no opportunity to print and test it before the event.
Despite the tight deadline, the final design turned out beautifully. Attendees at the event enjoyed taking photos in front of the backdrop, adding an extra element of delight to their experience at the Project Purple booth.
